Pastor Jay McCaig is a Florida native, born in Lakeland, and has served as pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church since 2016. He is married to his wife, Vee, and together they have three grown children and many grandchildren. Pastor Jay is a lifelong learner who has studied at Louisiana Baptist University and continues to take college classes because he believes preaching should be clear, practical, and firmly connected to real life. He also served for 11 years as Staff Chaplain at St. Cloud Hospital, walking with individuals and families through some of life’s hardest moments. He is the author of two books and has a simple heart—to help people feel welcome, understand the Bible, and grow in their walk with Christ, no matter where they’re starting from.

Born in upstate New York in 1952, Danny Niles hails from the little farming community of Afton in the Susquehanna River Valley. Because music was prevalent on his mother’s side of the family he took piano in his grade school years.

Danny moved to Florida in 1980. Upon settling in St. Cloud he formed a dance band which entertained guests in many venues throughout Central Florida while working a full-time job.

In 1991 he married his wife, Jackie. Together they have 3 grown daughters, 4 grandsons, and 3 great-grandchildren.

In 1996 he felt a calling to go into music ministry. From that time until the present he has been a choir director, youth group praise and worship leader and keyboardist in several of praise bands. Because Covid was running rampant in 2020 Danny was furloughed from his job and elected to semi-retire. Hearing that Crossroads Baptist Church was in need of a pianist he decided to audition for the position. He is now the Music Director there and is blessed to have several loyal choir members and instrumentalists on his worship team.

In May of 2022 he received a Bible College Diploma from Faith Bible Institute after completing their 3 year college level bible course.
